Our Small Animal Teaching Hospital proudly serves Alabama and neighboring states providing exceptional veterinary care grounded in compassion and innovation. Small Animal Emergency & Intensive Care Service (ER/ICU)

The Tuskegee University Small Animal Emergency and Intensive Care Service provides care delivered by small animal rotating interns and senior clinical veterinary students under the direct supervision of a board-certified specialist in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC). In-hospital care (ICU or Intermediate Care) is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week by rotating faculty veterinarians and the clinical veterinary students. Read more

Veterinary Dermatology Service

Our Dermatology Service specializes in diagnosing and treating skin, ear, coat, and nail conditions in animals of all sizes—including dogs, cats and horses (limited). We are committed to providing exceptional, compassionate care while helping you understand your pet’s condition and treatment plan. Read more

The Tuskegee University Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) Small Animal Medicine service provides advanced general and specialist-level service for local VTH clients and referring veterinarians. Read more

Out-Patient

out patient

Out-Patient Service is responsible for the health care management of patients who come to the hospital for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. Some patients are managed on an outpatient base (returned home with owners); whereas others are admitted to the hospital for further evaluation treatment and care. Read more

The Shelter Medicine Program at the Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine is a vital and rapidly growing component of veterinary education. Our program provides essential hands-on training for veterinary students while delivering compassionate, high-quality care to animals in our partnering shelters and in the surrounding community. Ambulatory Services

The VTH provides ambulatory services to neighboring cities in the state of Alabama through our mobile units. Experienced clinicians, technicians, and senior veterinary students assist in providing veterinary service to the numerous underserved communities in Alabama.
